History on a Pine Knot

According to the out-of-print Encyclopedia of Texas Ghost Towns by Ed Bartholomew, Farwil was a sawmill town that spanned the years 1906 to 1914. A man named Wilson was the sawmill owner and after the timber was cut, the mill was dismantled.

There is no information available on whether or not the community had any infrastructure.
