is in the Whiskytown-Shasta-Trinity National Forest Recreation Area.

The Pollard Gulch RR tracks is at Exit 712 off IH5. You will see
a small truckstop right before the exit (RH side) As you exit, turn
right. come to a "T". you turn right to get the truckstop, but if
you turn LEFT and a few feet, you see a SMALL road to the right. It
is a very steep road and I of course walked down it. I spent about
2 hours down there, and it was hard to leave. Might be nice to go
camping down there one day. - Stephen
