TEXAS ELECTRIC RAILWAY STATION
Plano, Texas

Plano's restored Interurban car
Photographer's Note: This is the rail system 'museum' in the old downtown part of Plano. If my memory is correct this system, or systems once extended from Dallas to Denison. I believe the Dallas DART system has long range plans to extend itself back over that area. I think it was stated as 'very' long range. The museum is located next to the downtown DART terminal/station. In case you don't know, Dallas Area Rapid Transit system- subway and light rail extends to north and northeast Dallas as well as parts of south Dallas. Lines extending to northwest Dallas, southeast Dallas, and extending farther east are to open in the next couple of years. - Mike Price, November 29, 2007
