Previous page .......... Mellie remarried in 1925 to a man twenty years her junior. He was Harry Ewing Stewart and they divorced in 1934. After the divorce, Mellie went back to building. She once again called on Eberson to build the somewhat-matching Mellie Esperson Building next to the Niels.

Although it is separate, many of the building's 19 stories adjoin the Niels Building. It opened in 1941
