Lamar County, North Central Texas

On CR 12600, near FM 1497 intersection
Just west of State highways 19 and 24
6.4 miles from center of Paris

History on a Pinhead

First settled in the late 1830s or early 1840s, its among the earliest settlements in Lamar County. Still had a school and a few residents in the 1920s.

1936 Texas Centennial Marker:

Here on 100 acres donated by Mathias Click was the second county seat of Lamar County

where court was held June, 1843, to April, 1844 when Paris was made the county seat - John A. Rutherford, chief justice - John R. Craddock, county clerk
