Zachariah "Zack"
Guess opened a post office in his store in 1904. The operation was
soon sold (1906) but stayed open under the new management until the
Great Depression finished it and the building was dismantled for use
of the materials.
Twenty-five people reportedly lived in the town from 1925 until 1950.
A school was shown on 1948 maps, but was likely consolidated around
that time. Zack no longer appears on county maps.

The only hint of the community we could find there was the presence
of a neighborhood of that name (misspelled.) (See photo above.) Pretty
much just trees and pastures besides that. |
