History
in a Pecan Shell
Established in the mid-1880s, the community was granted a post office
in 1887.
The community peaked in the mid 1890s although no population estimates
are available.
The post office closed in 1908 and by the time of the Great Depression,
Dodson had been dropped from most maps. |
