History in
a Pecan Shell
Due to the proximity
of the county seat, Good Neighbor probably never had a chance. It
appeared just before 1900 but there is little to report for its early
years. It had no commercial center and although it had a church and
school, the school was merged with another and the church closed.
The post war prosperity enabled residents to look for work in distant
towns.
As early as the 1960s, Good Neighbor only had scattered residences
and a community center. |
