Sanderson Train Depot, circa 1882

Sanderson, Texas

The depot was undoubtedly handsome, and was once the site of the unloading of two would-be train robbers; one of which was the last member of the Wild Bunch. ( See The Last Full-sized Train Robbery in Texas.)

The Bunkhouse for the train crews (active until 1995) is just a block from the depot on Downie Street.
