A Visit to
Corbyn, Texas
Photographer's
Note
This is the only trace of Corbyn I could find. The GPS was zoomed
all the way in to 800 FEET, and it showed I was right on top of Corbyn.
If I had to guess, the whole town was taken over by private folks.
plenty of private property signs, and this is the building that was
directly in the center of Corbyn. By the smell of things, and visual
clues, this same building had just suffered a major fire not that
long ago.....maybe a few days ago is all. Have no clue what this was,
or what happened to Corbyn, Texas. - Stephen

Corbyn, Texas
I saw your little article on Corbyn, Texas... According to Mapquest
it is located on Old Nacogdoches Road, just a little ways from the
small community of Comal. The building
in the photo was once a small power plant. I recall my dad saying
that from when we first drove past it years ago. I'll look at the
Texas Genweb for Comal County to see if they have more information,
but for many small little towns, their histories are lost. - Holly
