History in a Pecan Shell

Before the arrival of I-35, Highway 81 and FM 1825 - three roads formed a three-way intersection - hence the name. Enough business and activity existed for the place to appear on county highway maps in the 1940s. With the completion of I-35, Highway 81 was rerouted to follow it, and Three Points was bypassed by about one half mile. Several businesses in the area remained - but the area is now indistinct since it has changed into suburban housing developments between Pflugerville and I-35.
