History on a Pinhead

The town was founded in the 1920s and the name expressed the promoter’s “need” for “more” settlers willing to relocate here. What few people did settle here had to deal with The Great Depression. When the census of 1940 came along there were only twenty residents (served by two stores). But the residents were determined and instead of disappearing, Needmore added people. The 1980 Census counted 98 which has been used as estimate since.
