History on
a Pinhead
Although it was
named for a rancher called Glen, nobody seems to remember if that
was his first or last name. What is known is that “Glen” drove cattle
here from Waco
to graze for the winter months.
The community became a small ranching
center and had three businesses and a church in the 1940s. The population
peaked at seventy-five around 1940. The 1980 count is said to have
been forty – the number that has been given ever since. |
