The Present Madison County Courthouse
Date - 1970
Architect - Dickson, Dickson, Buckley & Bullock
Style - Modern
Material - Concrete and brick
On the square - Main (Hwy 21) and Elm Streets.

Madison County has had five courthouses, with the current one (1970) replacing one from 1896.

All the previous county courthouses burned down, including the 1896 courthouse on May 14, 1967.
