World War I
MemorialAs
it should be, this monument honors World
War I soldiers from both Miller County, Arkansas and Bowie County, Texas.
It was erected by a group of local women who called themselves “The Texarkana
Memorial Unit.” It is interesting to note that although WWI
was over in 1918, it took years before many WWI
monuments were erected. |
