COWS

by David Knape

Cows ain't so dumb
just act that way
they live to eat
eat more each day
the more they eat
the more they weigh
then make them pies
draw flies that way

They stand around
get in the way
when cars come down
the old highway
cars honk their horns
they move away
but take their time
got all damn day

Cows can kick
get out the way
if not then you'll
have hell to pay
some cows will gore you
as you lay
some ain't so dumb
just act that way.
