DOING

by David Knape

I am still doing
the same old things
I used to be doing
although there are days
when I don't know
what I'm doing
some days are better than others
for actually doing
but doing takes work
which I don't like doing
so I just think about doing
which is better than actually doing
then there are times
when my wife tells me what to do
and I feel like telling her
I'm not inclined to doing
what you say I should be doing
but that might lead to
my un-doing
so I just grin
and go along
and do it.
