History in a Pecan Shell

Once listed as a farm community Norway may be one of the least-populated and short-lived communities in the long list of Texas ghost towns. Formed sometime in the 1920s, the community was gone from maps by the 1960s.

It seems to have peaked with a population of just 20 residents. The community of Sweden, Texas was not far away - and the name of another Scandinavian country may have been suggested in jest. Nothing remains of the place - not even directions to finding where it once was.
