History
in a Pecan Shell
Olmos Park has no 19th Century history and its 20th
Century history began late. The town, which is totally surrounded by greater San
Antonio was incorporated in 1940 when it's population was nearing 2,000. The
city's high-water mark was reached in 1950 when 2,813 people called the place
home.
