History on a Pinhead

Established in 1901 under the name of Willett, the community received a post office in 1908. At that time the name was changed to Ginsite after the local Walling Gin.

The post office was closed in 1909 but reopened two years later. In 1914 it moved to Paducah. The only population figures are from the 1930s through the 1960s when fifty residents were reported.

Information about the community may be found in Paducah but names and dates can be supplied by the tombstones at the nearby Harmony Cemetery.
