Bwana Disco in Karnack, TX

Photographer's Note:
This is located on Hwy 43 several hundred feet in front of UJ's Funk and Roll in Karnack, TX.

We were traveling from Marshall, TX to Caddo Lake State Park and it was right out in the open off the road. It seems to have had a fire at one point, but is fairly sturdy. I'm not sure what it dates back to, but was reportedly in use as a disco in the 70s. There are no signs posted to keep out.

The African art on the outside is really interesting, but looks like it is fading fast. - Maryanne Gobble
