The Mitchell County Courthouse: c. 1924 is a dignified brick Classical
Revival building.
Architect: David Castle
A surveyor's mistake
caused the courthouse of 1883 to built in Oak Street instead of facing Oak Street.
The correction was made by simply demolishing the building and building another. |
